What is guard tour and patrol management software?
Guard tour software replaces paper rounds and radio check-ins with verifiable proof of presence. Guards confirm checkpoints from a phone using GPS, QR or NFC, and every patrol becomes a timestamped, attributable record. FieldOps does this as part of one system of record that also covers dispatch, scheduling, incident reporting and evidence — not as a standalone app.
Does FieldOps require special hardware?
No. FieldOps runs on the phones your guards already carry — Android or iOS — using the device camera and GPS, plus optional QR or NFC checkpoint tags. There are no proprietary scanners, beacons or terminals to buy or maintain.
Does FieldOps work offline?
Yes. Field surfaces capture patrols, reports and evidence offline; the record reconciles automatically the moment the device regains a connection. Operations in basements, remote sites and low-connectivity environments keep producing an audit-grade record without a live signal.
Where is data hosted, and is FieldOps GDPR compliant?
FieldOps offers configurable data residency — EU/UK, private cloud or on-premise — and is already deployed in the EU. The platform is GDPR-ready with a Data Processing Addendum, role-scoped access and a tamper-evident evidence chain. For sovereign or air-gapped requirements it can run entirely on infrastructure you control.
How is FieldOps different from TrackTik or Silvertrac?
FieldOps is a GDPR-native, residency-configurable system of record built for operators who need data residency and on-premise control that US-only cloud platforms cannot offer. It also accepts field input in any language — a guard can file a voice report in their native language and FieldOps normalises it into a clean record in your working language. And it is scoped and priced against the operation, not per seat.
How is FieldOps priced?
FieldOps is scoped to operational load, not seat count. The indicative band runs from about USD 80 per site / month for light sites to ~450 for full-scope sites, with optional one-time onboarding from USD 2,000. Volume and sovereign deployments are quoted separately. See Commercials.
What languages does incident reporting support?
The interface runs in English, German, Czech and French today, with Turkish and Arabic in preparation — and any language can be added quickly. More importantly, guards can report by voice or text in their own language; FieldOps transcribes, translates and normalises it into a clean, audit-grade record in your working language.
Does FieldOps handle billing and payroll?
Yes. The same shifts your guards work become billed hours and approved wages on one record — activity-rate billing, invoice preparation, monthly payroll approval with bonuses and penalties, and per-site profitability for the operator. See billing & profitability.
Does it cover reception, visitors and keys?
Yes. FieldOps runs the front desk on the same record as the field — visitor logs, left-luggage and storage, a real key cabinet with inventories, and incoming and outgoing mail and parcels. See the front desk.
